The Melonex Formula: What Is in the 500 mg Blend
The Melonex formula is one Proprietary Blend of 500 mg per capsule. It names L-Citrulline dl-Malate, L-Arginine (Alpha-Ketoglutarate dihydrate) and L-Arginine HCL, in that order. The label does not print the amount of each. Only the order rule tells us the first name is at least 167 mg and the other two are at most 250 mg and 167 mg.

What is the Melonex formula, exactly?
It is a single line on the Supplement Facts panel: Proprietary Blend 500 mg, with a Daily Value that is not established.
Under that line sit three names. Serving size is one capsule, and a bottle holds 60 servings. The remaining ingredients are hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (the capsule), microcrystalline cellulose and magnesium stearate. No allergen statement is printed.
- 1L- Citrulline dl - Malate167 mg or more of the 500 mg blend
- 2L-Arginine (Alpha-Ketoglutarate dihydrate)under 250 mg of the 500 mg blend
- 3L - Arginine HCLunder 167 mg of the 500 mg blend
From the Supplement Facts panel, in label order. The label prints 500 mg for the whole Proprietary Blend and no amount for any name, so the limits shown come from the order alone. Other ingredients (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose capsule, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate) are not part of the blend.
What does the weight-order rule tell us?
It sets a ceiling or a floor for each name, because the names must be listed from heaviest to lightest 1.
| Position | Name | Limit in one capsule |
|---|---|---|
| First | L-Citrulline dl-Malate | At least 167 mg |
| Second | L-Arginine (Alpha-Ketoglutarate dihydrate) | At most 250 mg |
| Third | L-Arginine HCL | At most 167 mg |
These are arithmetic limits, not a formula. The first name could be 167 mg or 400 mg, and we cannot tell which.
Where could each name fall inside the 500 mg?
Anywhere inside the bars below, which show the widest range the label allows.
500 mgone Proprietary Blend per capsule, amounts of the three names not printed
Proprietary Blend 500 mg- L-Citrulline DL-Malate167 to 500 mg
- L-Arginine alpha-ketoglutarateup to 250 mg
- L-Arginine HClup to 167 mg
Bars show the widest range the label order allows for each name 1. The real split is not printed.
Notice how wide the bars are. Two products with the same label could hold very different amounts, and the printed words would not change. The FDA says ingredients inside a proprietary blend are exempt from the per-ingredient amount 2.

See packsWhat do the odd words in the names mean?
Each is a salt or pairing, and the added part counts toward the weight.
- Malate: citrulline joined to malic acid, so some of the weight is malate.
- Alpha-Ketoglutarate dihydrate: arginine joined to a second compound and water, so the arginine share is smaller than the name suggests.
- HCL: arginine joined to hydrochloride, which also adds weight.
So the milligrams of each pure amino acid are lower than the milligrams of each name. The ingredients page has the full profile of each.
What should you ask before you buy?
Ask the order desk for the amount of each name per capsule and for a lot report. Write down the answer.
The checkout page does not print the formula, and we do not invent it. If you take medicine or have a condition, ask a pharmacist about the three names first. The proprietary blend page lists more questions. Prices were read October 30, 2026.

FAQ01
Melonex questions people ask
What is in Melonex capsules?
A 500 mg blend of L-Citrulline dl-Malate, L-Arginine (Alpha-Ketoglutarate dihydrate) and L-Arginine HCL, plus hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose and magnesium stearate.
How much L-citrulline is in one Melonex capsule?
The label does not print it. By the order rule, the blend holds at least 167 mg of the first name, which is L-Citrulline dl-Malate.
Why do the amounts add up to uncertainty?
A proprietary blend lists only the total weight. Anything between the order-rule limits fits the label.
Does the formula contain anything beyond amino acids?
The blend names three amino acid forms. The other ingredients are the capsule shell, a filler and a flow agent.
